CROCWORLD |
Crocworld is more than just a crocodile farm; it is a complete wildlife experience. Crocworld’s main attractions are the 10,000 Nile Crocodiles ranging from newborn hatchlings to 100year old mammoths.
Wander through 30 hectares of parkland, through wetland with water birds and flamingos, and enjoy the waterfalls, the cycad garden and the magnificent sea and inland valley views.
Witness crocodiles feeding in an amazingly beautiful natural habitat. There are colonies of Sacred Ibis, Glossy Ibis and Heron nesting in the crocodile compounds. Vervet Monkeys chatter in the trees. Blue & Grey Duiker, Bushbuck and Mongoose are often seen on the forest edge.
Nile Crocodiles, Alligators, African long-snouted and Dwarf Crocodiles are kept in well kept and organized pools, surrounded by coastal forest and rolling hills. The oldest and heaviest known Nile Crocodile in captivity, Henry, calls Crocworld his home.
Crocworld is also home to Isis – a magnificent Fish Eagle. She lives in the largest raptor cage on the African Continent and welcomes visitors to the park with the distinct call of Africa.
Isis had been hand reared at the raptor rehabilitation centre after her sibling threw her out of the nest. She had been imprinted by humans and therefore unable to be released into the wild. She treats all visitors as her family by flying the length of her cage to welcome them.
