uShaka Marine World is Africa’s largest marine theme park and situated at the southern end of Durban’s glorious “Golden Mile”. See one of the largest collections of sharks in the Southern Hemisphere.
uShaka Sea World incorporates a unique shipwreck-themed aquarium, features dolphin and seal stadiums, penguin rookery, as well as interactive activities. In the dive tank, you can have a close encounter with a Ragged-tooth Shark and enjoy seeing Brindle Bass at close range. Float lazily around the snorkel lagoon or dive through the Phantom Ship.
uShaka Marine World is the only place in South Africa where you can walk among the sea’s beautiful creatures using an innovative device called the Oceanwalker.
Prepare yourself for a full day of fun in the sun. uShaka Wet ‘n Wild is a fun fresh water world of slides and pools – catering for the adrenalin junkies and those slightly less adventurous. This water wonderland boasts Africa’s highest slide. Relax on the lawn, deck, beach or on the lazy river.
Among the fun activities at uShaka Beach are surf lessons and kayak tours. On a kayak, you can set out to explore Vetchie’s Reef and the shark nets under guidance of an experienced kayaking guide.
Take a stroll along uShaka Village Walk. The tantalizing smell of food mingles with the cool sea breeze. uShaka Village Walk is a retail haven and culinary adventure rolled into one.
With ocean walks, shark cage dives, helicopter flips, surfing lessons and dolphin expeditions too, there’s plenty to keep you busy all day long.
